Damage and disputes

If an item is damaged, both sides raise it through the booking. RentToll reviews the handover and return condition records and the rental agreement before any resolution.

Report it through the booking

Damage, late return or an item that does not match its listing should be reported from the booking itself, so the report is attached to the same record as the photos and agreement.

How a case is reviewed

RentToll compares the handover photos, the return photos, the listed condition and the signed agreement. Normal wear is expected on rented items and is not treated as damage.

Outcomes

Depending on the case, an outcome can be no action, a repair or replacement cost agreed between the parties, or a restriction on the account responsible for repeated issues.
