1. Introduction
RentToll is an online platform that connects users who want to rent a product with individuals or businesses offering that product for rent in the United Arab Emirates.
RentToll operates the technology, the listings, the booking and payment flow, the messaging system and the records that support a rental. RentToll is not the owner of the items listed unless a listing states that RentToll itself is the owner. The rental relationship for each booking is between the renter and the listing owner, recorded through the booking on the platform.
2. Acceptance of terms
You agree to these terms when you use the parts of RentToll that go beyond simply browsing public pages.
- Creating an account by any sign-in method
- Completing onboarding or a user profile
- Listing a product for rent
- Requesting, booking or paying for a rental
- Sending messages through the platform
- Using payment, deposit, extension or dispute features
3. Eligibility and account registration
Account details must be accurate and kept up to date. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account.
Renting and listing on RentToll is intended for users who are legally able to enter into a rental arrangement in the UAE. Owners may be asked to complete identity verification (for example an Emirates ID for individuals or a trade licence for a business) before certain features become available, and RentToll may request further information where it is needed to operate the platform safely or to meet a legal or payment-provider requirement.
Verification checks are a control, not a guarantee. Completing verification does not mean RentToll warrants the quality, safety, legality or outcome of any individual transaction.
4. User types
RentToll recognises the following roles. One account can hold more than one role.
- Renter — a person who books or rents a product through the platform.
- Lender / Owner — an individual who lists a product they own or are authorised to rent out.
- Business — a company, shop, professional seller or rental provider listing eligible products commercially.
5. Product listings
Owners are responsible for the accuracy and legality of everything they publish. Before a listing is published, the owner confirms that the information is correct and complies with these terms.
- Accurate title, description, category and condition
- Photos that show the actual item being offered
- Correct rental pricing, rental periods and any delivery fee
- Realistic availability, kept updated as bookings and blocks change
- Any deposit requirement, usage restrictions and safety information
- Ownership of the item, or clear authority to rent it out
6. Rental bookings
A booking is created in a defined sequence: the renter selects a product, selects available dates, sees the calculated price including any delivery and deposit, confirms the booking and completes payment. The booking is only confirmed once payment is recorded against it.
Availability shown on a listing reflects the owner's calendar and existing bookings at that moment. Dates are held while payment completes and are released if payment does not succeed, so selecting dates does not by itself reserve an item.
7. Pricing and platform fees
The full amount payable is shown before you confirm a booking. Depending on the listing and the options chosen, a rental transaction may include the items below.
- The rental cost for the selected period
- A delivery or pickup charge set by the owner where delivery is offered
- RentToll's marketplace commission, which is added on top of the owner's payout price
- Payment processing charges applied by the payment provider where applicable
- Any optional service or protection offered at the time of booking
- A refundable security deposit where the owner requires one
8. Security deposits
Deposits are optional and controlled by the owner. An owner may set a refundable security deposit on a listing, within the limits the platform allows for that category and price.
Where a deposit applies, the amount is shown separately in the price breakdown before you pay, and it is collected together with the booking payment. The deposit is held against the booking and is not treated as rental income while it is held.
After the item is returned and the return is confirmed by both sides through the handover flow, the deposit is released back to the renter. Where damage, loss, a late return or another valid claim is reported and supported by evidence, part or all of the deposit may be withheld while the matter is reviewed, and a deduction may be applied where the claim is upheld.
A deposit is therefore refundable in the ordinary case, but not automatically refundable in every circumstance. Every change of deposit status is recorded against the booking.
9. Payments
Payments are processed through RentToll's configured payment provider. Card details are handled by that provider; RentToll does not store raw card numbers.
Payments move through recorded states — authorisation, confirmation, and where relevant failure, refund or reversal. A failed payment does not create a confirmed booking. Refunds, chargebacks and payment disputes are handled with the payment provider under its rules, alongside RentToll's own dispute process.
10. Product handover
Handover is the point at which the item passes from the owner to the renter, whether by pickup or delivery. Both sides are expected to complete the handover step in the booking.
Where the handover flow is used, the platform records the handover date and status, the recorded condition and checklist, accessories included, supporting photos and confirmation by each party. These records are what RentToll refers to if a condition question arises later.
11. Product return
The item must be returned on the agreed end date, in the condition it was received, allowing for normal wear expected from a rented item of that type and age.
The return is confirmed through the same handover flow, with return-condition notes and photos. Late returns may lead to additional charges and can affect a deposit. Where the parties disagree about the returned condition, the matter moves into the dispute process and the deposit release may be held until it is resolved.
12. Rental extension and renewal
A renter can request an extension of an active rental from within the booking. An extension is not automatic.
An extension requires the item to be available for the additional dates, the owner's approval, and payment of the additional amount before the new end date takes effect. An extension cannot be approved where it would overlap a booking that is already confirmed for another renter.
13. Damage and loss
Renters are responsible for the item while it is in their possession and should return it in the condition recorded at handover.
Damage or loss should be reported through the booking as soon as it is discovered, with photos and a description. RentToll reviews the report against the listing, the handover record and the return record, and may ask either party for more information. A supported claim may result in a deduction from the deposit or another agreed resolution.
RentToll does not promise that every loss or damage will be recovered or covered.
14. Optional insurance or protection
Where a third-party protection or insurance product is offered on RentToll, it is optional, may carry an additional charge, and is provided under the third-party provider's own policy, exclusions and claims requirements.
RentToll does not itself act as an insurer and does not guarantee that a claim will be accepted unless a specific product explicitly states otherwise.
15. Delivery and pickup
Delivery is set by each owner, not by RentToll. Some owners deliver within a chosen radius for a fee they set; others offer pickup only from their approximate area, with the exact address released after the booking is confirmed.
Where delivery is used, it may be carried out by the owner or by a third-party delivery partner, may carry an additional charge, and is subject to scheduling and to confirmation of handover on arrival. Delivery is not available for every listing, area or emirate.
16. User communications
Renters and owners communicate through RentToll's in-platform messaging. Personal contact details such as phone numbers, email addresses and external links may be masked or flagged in messages before a booking is confirmed, to protect both sides and to keep a record of what was agreed.
Deliberately attempting to move a booking off-platform to avoid fees, protections or records is a breach of these terms.
17. Prohibited activities
The following are not permitted on RentToll.
- Listing illegal, stolen, counterfeit or unauthorised items
- Listing items you do not own or have no authority to rent out
- Items that are unsafe or restricted for rental under UAE law
- Fraud, misrepresentation or false claims about an item, a booking or damage
- Circumventing the platform's payment, deposit or booking process
- Harassment, abuse or threatening behaviour towards any user or staff
- Manipulating reviews, ratings or verification status
18. Cancellations and refunds
What a cancellation costs depends on the state of the booking at the time it is cancelled. The applicable outcome is shown against the booking before a cancellation is confirmed.
- Booking status — pending, confirmed, awaiting handover or active
- How far in advance of the start date the cancellation is made
- The rental period and category
- Whether delivery has already been dispatched or completed
- Any owner-set terms shown on the listing
- Amounts already settled with the payment provider
19. Disputes
A dispute is raised from the booking it relates to. The reporting party submits a description and evidence, the other party is given the opportunity to respond, and RentToll reviews the booking record — listing details, messages, handover and return condition, photos and payment history — before deciding the next step.
RentToll's review determines how platform-held funds such as a deposit are treated. It does not guarantee a particular outcome and does not remove either party's rights under applicable law.
20. Reviews and ratings
Reviews must reflect a genuine rental experience. Fake, incentivised or retaliatory reviews are prohibited, as is abusive or personal content. Reviews may be moderated or removed where they breach these terms.
21. Suspension and termination
Subject to applicable law, RentToll may restrict or suspend an account, remove or unpublish a listing, pause payouts, or investigate activity where there are reasonable grounds to believe these terms have been breached or that fraud or harm to other users may be involved. Where practical, users are told what action has been taken and how to respond.
22. Limitation of platform role
RentToll provides the marketplace technology. It is not the owner, renter, insurer, delivery provider or payment institution in a transaction unless it expressly states otherwise for a specific service.
Items are supplied by the owner, delivery by the owner or a delivery partner, protection products by the relevant insurer, and card processing by the payment provider. Each of those parties is responsible for its own performance. Nothing in these terms limits any right that cannot be limited under applicable UAE law.
23. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the platform develops. The current version and the last updated date are shown at the top of this page (version 2026-09-01). Where a change is material, users will be notified and, where appropriate, asked to accept the new version before continuing to use the affected features.
24. Contact
Questions about these terms can be raised through the support channels shown in the RentToll footer and Help & safety pages, or from within the relevant booking so the record stays attached to it.
RentToll's final legal entity details, registered address and governing jurisdiction will be published here once confirmed. Until then, please use the in-platform contact routes rather than relying on details published elsewhere.
These pages are RentToll's platform policies written for our current product. They are not legal advice and should be reviewed and approved by a qualified UAE legal professional against RentToll's final legal entity, payment and insurance arrangements, and applicable UAE law before being relied on in a dispute.
